Tri-state Memorial Hospital

| Clarkston, WA

Patients from Washington, Idaho and Oregon benefit from EVCO’s expertise in hospital communications.

Tri-state Memorial Hospital has served people in the Lewis Clark Valley since 1955. A not-for-profit, critical access, community owned and operated hospital, Tri-state’s vision includes using innovative technology and collaboration to produce better patient outcomes. That vision made EVCO Integrated Solutions a perfect match for the facility’s nurse call upgrade project.

EVCO’s work included replacement of a 20-year-old nurse call system while maintaining operation of their existing system during the upgrade. The building had undergone multiple expansions and remodels over the years, which added to the complexity of the project.

Tri-state desired to change-out the nurse call system because the old system was failing, and wanted to integrate new technologies to provide quicker response to patients.

The hospital facility consists of multiple long hallways which take time to walk through, so finding a solution to speed up response time between patient and caregiver was a high priority.

EVCO Integrated Solutions spent three months prior to the installation meeting with each department and assessing not only departmental needs, but assessing how to combine those needs into a facility-wide solution that could be easily maintained and supported by their current staff.

Our solution was a sophisticated Rauland Borg Responder 5® critical communications system, integrated with Spectralink® wireless phones.

Twenty phones were seamlessly integrated into the Rauland nurse call system. The phones provide direct communications from the patient to the caregiver, providing a sense of security to the patient and enabling Tri-state Memorial Hospital’s nurses to devote more time to patient care.
